Bourbon Apple Glazed Cedar Plank Salmon

Enjoy the rich flavors of bourbon and apple in this delicious salmon recipe on a cedar plank. The fish tastes smoky from the cedar, and the bourbon apple glaze gives it a sweet and sour kick.

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 cedar plank soaked in water for 1-2 hours
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat

In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper

Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for 8-10 minutes until it thickens slightly

Remove from heat and set aside

Place the soaked cedar plank on the preheated grill for about 2 minutes per side to char slightly

Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them on the charred side of the cedar plank

Brush the bourbon apple glaze generously over the salmon fillets, reserving some for basting during grilling

Carefully transfer the cedar plank with the salmon to the grill and cover

Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through, basting with the glaze every 5 minutes

Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the grill, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot
